Retirement Plan - AIG VALIC

Quincy Medical Center offers a 403b voluntary tax deferred retirement plan to all eligible employees, administered by AIG VALIC.   Employees may defer up to $15,000 of salary on a pre-tax basis. A wide range of mutual funds and other investment vehicles is available.  There is no waiting period to enroll.  Matching contributions from QMC are available.  Talk to a Human Resources representative for more information.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Our Flexible Spending Accounts(FSA) allows employees to contribute up to $5,000 for medical care and $5,000 for dependent care with pre-tax dollars to be used for certain non-reimbursable healthcare and dependent care expenses.  Participation in a FSA account also reduces Federal, State and FICA taxes.  All administrative costs are paid for by QMC.

Life Insurance

All benefits-eligible employees are given a $10,000 life insurance policy paid for by QMC.  Employees have the opportunity to purchase supplemental term or whole life insurance for themselves or their dependents.

Supplemental Plans

Additional supplemental plans available to employees include short term disability, long term disability, cancer protection insurance, additional dental coverage, and accident insurance.

Tuition Assistance

With approval, classes relating to an employee’s principal work assignment and contributing to the mission of Quincy Medical Center in a current or future position are reimbursable.

Paid Time Off

All eligible employees will accrue paid time off based on their job classification, seniority and their regularly scheduled hours. For example, full time employees may accrue anywhere from 28 to 47 days off annually. Part-time employees may accrue paid time off on a pro-rata basis. Talk to a Human Resources representative for more information.
