We also serve as a site for Boston College’s Nursing Refresher Program.
At Quincy Medical we also initiated a Staff Nurse Council that meets monthly to discuss a wide range of issues related to new nursing policies and protocols, new programs and enhancements in the delivery of patient care. The 20-person Council is comprised of at least one staff registered nurse from each clinical department and is facilitated by a nursing leader.
The Staff Nurse Council is a dynamic, open forum for the exchange of ideas and development of solutions that will lead to positive change. Staff registered nurses serving on the council act as ‘Ambassadors’ for their clinical departments, offering input on issues and relaying the Council’s recommendations to their colleagues.
