Unrestricted Fund

Contributions to the Unrestricted Fund provide Quincy Medical Center with the discretion to apply charitable donations where the need is more urgent.

Restricted Funds

Marie A. Curry Fund

The Marie A. Curry Fund focuses on encouraging prevention and early detection of cancer and enhancing access to vital cancer screenings and services for uninsured and under-insured South Shore residents.

Established at Quincy Medical Center in 1998 by the Curry Family of Quincy, the Marie A. Curry Fund initially focused on underwriting free mammography and breast cancer screenings for women who were uninsured and underinsured. Through the community’s strong support, the Fund’s mission was expanded in 2005 and now underwrites additional cancer screenings and services to inspire prevention and encourage early detection of a wide range of cancers. Each fall, a Quincy Medical Center Cancer Walk is held to benefit the Marie A. Curry Fund.

Nurses Appreciation Fund

The Nurses Appreciation Fund is an opportunity for patients, their family members and the community to thank QMC nurses and other caregivers in a tangible way. Your generosity will allow us to recognize the many achievements of our professional nurses and caregivers, reward their high clinical standards and encourage them to advance their careers at QMC.

Emergency Services Fund

Of Quincy Medical Center’s 100,000 annual patients, more than 33,000 are seen in the hospital’s Emergency Department (ED). The ED also serves some of the community’s most vulnerable populations. Contributions to the Emergency Services Fund are applied to support the advanced, high quality care delivered in the Emergency Department each day.

Planned Giving

The professional in the Quincy Medical Center Development Office can help patients, family members and other donors plan the gift that benefits both the donor and the medical center.  Call us at 617-376-5495 to learn more about legacy gifts, bequests, charitable annuities, charitable remainder trusts and other gift plans.
